Give of Your Time - Volunteer Today

More than 25 years ago, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister that she would do everything possible to put an end to breast cancer. Today, thanks to more than 100,000 survivors and volunteers/activists, Komen for the CureŽ is the world’s largest, most progressive grassroots organization fighting breast cancer. We celebrated our first global race in June 2009!

Did you know it takes about 300 volunteers to operate the Susan G. Komen Hawai’i Race for the CureŽ? Volunteer passion and commitment is what makes our Race successful. This disease has touched so many people, either through their own personal experience or that of a loved one. Will you join us in our passionate fight by volunteering on Race day?

Our volunteers come in all sizes, shapes, and colors. Their hearts are pink and their caring has no limit. Are you a leader, a thinker, or a doer? Use your talents in our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever! We need you now more than ever. Last year, individuals from all walks of life volunteered their time and talents before, during, and after the Race to ensure its success. We need all types of talented people and look forward to having you join in the Race experience with us.

Every minute you spend helping gives another minute of hope to those affected by breast cancer. Help us find the finish line in our Race for the Cure.

MAHALO to the many volunteers that helped with last year’s RACE!

Volunteers are needed to help with Komen Hawaii’s Race for the Cure registration, packet stuffing, packet pickup, and Race Day activities. Please contact us at either 808.754.6659 or via email at KomenHawaii@hotmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
